Comment on Healing Through Holiday Grief: Finding Peace in Winter Gardening by Debbie Hollister https://gardentherapy.ca/healing-through-holiday-grief/comment-page-1/#comment-554803 Tue, 24 Dec 2024 15:07:41 +0000 https://gardentherapy.ca/?p=54999#comment-554803 Thank you for this heartfelt message. My garden is my solace and balm. I live in a warm climate, southeast Texas. To my surprise I saw a Gulf Fritillary butterfly and a bright yellow Sulphur butterfly yesterday on the last of my lantana blooms. What a thrill this late in the year! But we have not had freezing temps yet and none in the forecast. Also yesterday while picking my pink roses before the rain, I spotted a small, shy lizard. She was resting among the rose leaves near a bright pink rosebud. And while eating lunch on my porch I noticed a Lady Bug on the rocking chair. Hope comes at the most unexpected times, just when we need it the most. My Mom passed away last year, and I am dealing with profound loss this Christmas. She was my best friend. Her Love came back to me yesterday in the form of butterflies, a friendly lizard, and a Lady Bug. My mother shared my love of nature and gardens. Joy in simple things is what the season means to me now. Thank you for your poignant message. Your ideas are lovely and helpful during this time of grief.

yes, they will break down over time. Polymer clay is more long lasting, just don’t use it in food plants.

yes, but in many cases the tree will not be as robust as a newly planted tree. Unless it’s a cane grower, or course.
