How can you tell which varieties of Apple, Peach, Pear and cherry would work well with one or both of these shapes?

Unfortunately in transporting it to her house one of the limbs has split away from the trunk, but remains partially attached. I have bound it together but I fear this branch will wither and die. Would it be best for me to rip it off and try to re-graft it by making an incision in the trunk and sharpening the end of the branch to fit it back in, or should I simply bind the branch and trunk together with tape and hope for the best. Are there any drugs (rooting compound or growth hormones) that could be used to enhance the healing and growth?

I never knew how relaxing it is to garden and the sense of accomplishment when I walk out to my backyard and pick some fresh vegetables or fruit to serve.

They look so awesome. They are SO easy to care for and to harvest loads and loads and loads of fruit. Mine aren’t perfectly espaliered but i love them. Some of my branches “Y” up from below to reach the line above it. I’m hoping that it will look a little better as the tree gets bigger. The trunk might be 4 inches across right now. The branches are still skinny twigs. lol. We were able to cram in 7 trees in the area where we once had two large apple trees. They were overgrown when we bought our home 11yrs ago. I’m happy to have replaced. I only wish i would have taken that plunge years ago. Go Forth and Espalier! You won’t regret it.
