When it is cold the compost will still breakdown, just more slowly. Keep going as you would in the rest of the year. I just wouldn’t add anything new in the winter.

]]>Yes, newspaper works and most ink is plant-based so it’s fine to compost. Just stay away from the glossy, full colour printed pages.
